Salisbury, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's Golf Team is currently in 12th place after 18 holes of the Richard Rendleman Invitational, which kicked off Monday at the Country Club of Salisbury.
The Bears shot a 307 (+23) on the par-71, 6,665-yard course while UNC Pembroke and Queens are currently tied for first with a 292 (+8).
Sophomore Brandon Squier (Advance, N.C.) is Lenoir-Rhyne's top golfer after the first round of action. Squier shot a 72 (+1) and is tied for seventh while Carson-Newman's Gavin Hay is first with a three-under 68.
Lenoir-Rhyne freshman John White (Granite Falls, N.C.) is tied for 32nd with a 76 (+5).
The final day of the tournament takes place on Tuesday.
