Rock Hill, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Volleyball Team was picked to finish sixth in the 2009 South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the league announced today.
Wingate, the three-time defending SAC Regular Season Champions, was selected to four-peat. The Bulldogs are 30-0 against league opponents the last two seasons and received eight of the nine first-place votes.

Senior outside hitter Kassi Henry (Denver, N.C.) earned All-South Atlantic Conference Preseason Second-Team honors. Henry averaged 2.25 kills per game, second-best on the team, last year to go along with 79 digs and 51 total blocks.
Lenoir-Rhyne (15-19 in 2008) opens the season on Thursday, August 27, at home against King (Tenn.) beginning at 7 p.m.
