Southern Pines, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Golf Team shot a 302 (+14) to finish the first round of the Pinehurst Challenge in fourth place Monday at the Pinehurst National Golf Club.
Lincoln Memorial leads the tournament with a 296 (+8) on the par-72, 7,122-yard course while the Railsplitters' Johnny Page leads after 18 holes with a two-under 70.
L-R freshman Zach Burket (Taylorsville, N.C.) is tied for second overall after the first round of play with an even-par 72.
Lenoir-Rhyne junior Brandon Squier (Advance, N.C.) carded a 75 (+3) to finish the first day tied for 13th while sophomore John White (Granite Falls, N.C.) is tied for 21st with a 77 (+5).
The second and final round of the tournament will take place on Tuesday.
