Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Moves Up To Sixth Nationally

The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Soccer Team moved up three spots to No. 6 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll.

Kansas City, Kan. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team moved up three spots to No. 6 nationally in the first regular season rankings of the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll.  NSCAA is the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

L-R, which was ranked ninth in the preseason poll, has started the season 2-0 with home victories over Georgia College (2-0) and Lander (3-1) last Friday and Sunday, respectively, in its season-opening kickoff classic.

Lenoir-Rhyne, under first-year Head Coach Cally Morrill, remains at home on Wednesday when it faces Pfeiffer beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.

L-R also plays host to 11th-ranked Columbus State on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., in the fourth of a six-match home stand to start the 2012 season.

Saint Rose, the 2011 NCAA Division II National Champions, remains at the top of the poll after starting the season with a 4-0 mark.
