L-R Men's Golf Finishes 16th Overall At The Kiawah Island Invitational

Bears are led by sophomore Zach Burket's seven-over 151 for the tournament

Sophomore Zach Burket led Lenoir-Rhyne with a 151 (+7) at the Kiawah Island Men's Golf Invitational which concluded Tuesday at Cougar Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.

Kiawah Island, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Golf Team finished 16th at the Ninth Annual Kiawah Island Invitational which concluded Tuesday at the Cougar Point Golf Course.  The Bears shot a 619 (+43) on the par-72, 6,875-yard course.

No. 5 USC Aiken, the host school, won the tournament with an even-par 576 and defeated North Alabama by one stroke.

L-R was led by sophomore Zach Burket (Taylorsville, N.C.), who tied for 36th overall with a 151 (+7).

Armstrong Atlantic State's Shad Tuten won the tournament with a six-under 136 after 36 holes of play.

Junior John White (Dudley Shoals, N.C.) tied for 43rd with a 152 (+8) while freshman David Donovan (Hampstead, N.C.) carded a 156 (+12) to tie for 59th overall for the Bears as well.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Golf Team next competes in the Tusculum Fall Classic next Monday and Tuesday in Greeneville, Tenn.
