Hickory, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne (1-3-2, 0-1-1) and Catawba (3-2-2, 0-0-2) battled to a 1-1 tie after two overtimes in a South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer match Wednesday night at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.

The Bears got on the board in the first half at the 30:51 mark when freshman forward Tobias Tobrant (Boras, SWEDEN) headed the ball into the net off a pass from sophomore forward Mario Pinos Garcia (Guayaquil, ECUADOR).

The goal was Tobrant's team-leading third goal of the season while Pinos Garcia was credited with the assist.

The contest remained 1-0 until Catawba tied the match in the 68th minute when Luke Kooyman (Salt Lake City, Utah) scored right in front of the net.

The Indians' Carson Smith (Mooresville, N.C.) picked up the assist on the score.

Both goalkeepers, L-R junior Stefan Dill (Southampton, BERMUDA) and Catawba's Frankie Cardelle (Salisbury, N.C.), played all 110 minutes while allowing one goal each.

Dill picked up 11 saves on the night while Cardelle stopped four Lenoir-Rhyne shots.

Lenoir-Rhyne faces Lincoln Memorial on Saturday in a conference match in Harrogate, Tenn., beginning at 3:30 p.m.  Catawba hosts SAC-foe Newberry on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
