Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics will host the third annual 828 Day celebration presented by Carolina West Wireless on Saturday, Aug. 28, at Moretz Stadium from 6 to 9 p.m. The free event will feature a performance from a local band, Grandma's Medicine, student-athlete hosted games and activities for all ages, and food trucks for food and beverages.
 
"We are so excited to host 828 Day as an in-person event at Moretz Stadium again this year. 828 Day is a chance for us to welcome the community for a fun-filled night as we kick off another exciting year for the Bears," said assistant AD for Marketing and Fan Engagement Leah Clayton.
 
Community members and students can participate in 828 Day festivities by participating in the "828 Prowl." Grab an 828 Prowl card from the LR Bookstore beginning Friday, Aug. 20, to get started. Then, collect 10 stamps by Aug. 28, from the participating businesses to earn a prize at the 828 Day celebration event.

We ask any unvaccinated people to please wear a mask at the event. Additionally, we ask all attendees to be mindful of the current local and state guidelines regarding COVID.
