Kat Rivers is entering her first season as an Assistant Coach for Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Rivers started all four years for Lenoir-Rhyne (2008-11) and helped the squad to four NCAA Division II Playoff berths (2008-11), three South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championships (2008, 2010-11), two Food Lion SAC Tournament Championships (2010-11) and a pair of trips to the Southeast Super Regional Tournament (2010-11).

During the four years Rivers was part of the Bears' squad, L-R compiled a 184-42-1 mark.

Rivers earned All-South Atlantic Conference honors all four seasons (2008-11), garnered All-Southeast Region accolades for three years (2008-10) and was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2011 conference tournament.

The 2010 campaign was Rivers' best in an L-R uniform as she earned NCAA Division II First-Team All-American honors by the NFCA and was named the Southeast Region Player Of The Year.  That season, Rivers set numerous school marks including a conference-record 23 home runs.

Rivers is the school's all-time leader in home runs (39) and runs batted in (161).

Rivers graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne in May of 2011 with a bachelor's degree in sports management and a minor in health and exercise science.  Rivers is a native of Royston, Ga.
