Brad McClaugherty just ended his third year as an Assistant Coach for the Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team.
Three years ago, McClaugherty was elevated to Video Coordinator after serving as Scout Team and Assistant Video Coordinator in 2010.
McClaugherty was a four-year letterwinner on the L-R Football Team (2006-09) where he played defensive back and was a member of the special teams.
An outstanding player on the kickoff return team, McClaugherty recovered an onside kick his senior year that led to a touchdown against Wingate (Oct. 10, 2009).
McClaugherty graduated in December of 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in history and is now working on his MBA.
McClaugherty was also a member of the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll. McClaugherty is a native of Sarasota, Florida, and a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School.
As a prep, McClaugherty was the Team’s Defensive Back Of The Year and earned all-Sarasota County honors as a senior. McClaugherty led Cardinal Mooney to a fifth-place ranking in the state and a Class 2B Regional Runner-up. McClaugherty also lettered in track and field was a member of the National Honor Society.
