Newberry, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team (12-1, 7-0) scored four second-half goals and staged a furious rally in defeating Newberry (7-6, 3-4), 4-3, Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference match.
The Bears, ranked No. 9 in NCAA Division II, rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to notch their school-record 11th straight win.

Lenoir-Rhyne junior All-American midfielder Elizabeth Hawes (Valdese, N.C.) tied the score at three in the 76th minute after taken advantage of a loose ball and scoring from seven yards out.
Senior forward Laura Linehan (San Diego, Calif.) scored what proved to be the game-winner with just 1:06 remaining in the match for L-R.? The chip shot, from about seven yards out, was Linehan's team-leading ninth goal of the season.
Junior goalkeeper Caitlin Scruggs (Torrance, Calif.) picked up the win for L-R, who held a 17-6 advantage in shots taken.? Newberry's Megan Hrenchir (Lawrence, Kan.) made four saves but suffered the loss.
