In the second half, the Bears took the lead for good when senior defender Jessica Schob (Ione, Calif.) headed the ball into the net off a free kick from senior defender Casey McDonnell (Toms River, N.J.) at the 76:21 mark.

Junior Caitlin Scruggs (Torrance, Calif.) picked up the victory in goal for the Bears, who held a 25-4 advantage in shots taken over the Indians.
Catawba goalkeeper Lindsay Webster (Hopkinton, Mass.) suffered the loss despite eight saves in the match.
