Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team defeated Milligan by an easy 94-58 margin in an exhibition Tuesday night at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.
Lenoir-Rhyne was led by junior guard Jarvis Calhoun (Birmingham, Ala.) with 20 points and senior guard Darrion Evans (Morganton, N.C.) and junior guard Reed Lucas (Greensboro, N.C.) totaled 17 points each as the Bears finished with 12 treys in the victory. Lenoir-Rhyne led by a 45-22 score at intermission.
For Milligan, Will Buckner (Burnsville, N.C.) finished with a team-high 14 points in the setback.
Lenoir-Rhyne, under first-year head coach Everick Sullivan, opens the 2016-17 season at home in the South Atlantic Conference/Peach Belt Conference Challenge against UNC Pembroke on Friday, November 11, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
