Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team (10-12, 9-8) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 96-67 win over Coker (7-16, 4-13) Wednesday night in a South Atlantic Conference game at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.
Lenoir-Rhyne senior guard Darrion Evans (Morganton, N.C.) and junior guard
Jarvis Calhoun (Birmingham, Ala.) combined for 41 points as the Bears swept the season series against the Cobras.
Evans led all scorers with 21 points while Calhoun added 20 points and hit six treys as the Bears scored 56 points after halftime and hit 15 treys on the night.
Coker's Miguel Priest (Southfield, Mich.) finished with a team-high 18 points but was the lone player to reach double figures in scoring for the Cobras.
Lenoir-Rhyne held a 50-34 edge in rebounding while twelve players scored on the night for the Bears.
Lenoir-Rhyne next travels to Jefferson City, Tenn., to take on Carson-Newman on Saturday beginning at 4:00 p.m., while Coker returns home to take on Tusculum on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
