Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team (5-8, 3-4) snapped a three-game losing streak with a convincing 85-63 victory over Catawba (3-8, 0-6) Wednesday night in a South Atlantic Conference game at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior guards
Djibril Diallo (Conakry, GUINEA) and
Cory Thomas (Louisville, Ky.) combined for 49 points in the win. Diallo scored a season-high 26 points while Thomas came off the bench to tally 23 points. Diallo also connected on 12-of-15 free throw attempts while Thomas was eight-for-11 from the field
• Lenoir-Rhyne shot 57 percent for the game and pushed its lead to as many as 25 points – 83-58 with 1:41 left – in the victory. Senior guard
Jarvis Calhoun (Birmingham, Ala.) added 11 points and three treys in the win as well for the Bears.
• Catawba was led by Jerrin Morrison (Charlotte, N.C.) and John McRae (Seat Pleasant, Md.) with 18 points each but the Indians lost their third straight game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Thomas pushed his scoring average to a team-leading 15.3 points per game while the Bears increased their record at home on the year to 4-2 overall.
