Box Score BELMONT, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team snapped a two game losing streak with a pivotal 80-77 victory at Belmont Abbey on Wednesday afternoon. Down a pair of starters, the Bears defeated the Crusaders for the second straight season.

Mason Hawks tied a season-high with 20 points in just his second start of the season. Hawks was 6-of-11 from long range and helped the Bears to a season-high 15 made 3-pointers.

Bertrand Awana torched the Crusaders. In the Bears win last season, Awana went 11-for-12 from the field and finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Today, Awana recorded a career-high 15 rebounds (seven offensive) and added 11 points for his first double-double of the season.

Djibril Diallo started hot, scoring 11 of the Bears first 21 points in the game. The senior guard finished with 17 points and chipped in four rebounds and three assists.
• Devontae Weaver added a season-high 11 points for LR, including three buckets from long range.
• Belmont Abbey, who shot just 41.8 percent from the field, was led by 21 points off the bench by LJ McCoy.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• With this win, LR is a perfect 4-0 against Conference Carolinas teams. Earlier in the season, the Bears defeated Emmanuel, Southern Wesleyan and Limestone before topping the Crusaders today. BAC is a perfect 4-0 in Conference Carolinas play this season.
• The Bears held a 43-33 advantage on the boards in the game and led for the majority of the contest.
