Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team (10-13, 8-9) bounced back after consecutive losses with a 79-64 triumph over Mars Hill (3-20, 1-15) at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

• Four players scored in double figures for the Bears – led by junior guard
Djibril Diallo (Conakry, GUINEA) with 18 points and junior guard
Darius Simmons (Raleigh, N.C.) with a career-high 15 points – in the victory.
• LR led by as many as 19 points – 69-50 with 4:42 left on a trey by Simmons – and forced Mars Hill into 19 turnovers in the victory.
• The Lions were paced by Justen Hartfield (Evans, Ga.) and Austin Gilyard (Winston-Salem, N.C.) with 12 points each in the losing effort.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne senior guard
Reed Lucas (Greensboro, N.C.) scored three points and increased his career total to 1,075 (43rd on the Bears' all-time list). Lucas also has 214 career treys.
• Lenoir-Rhyne swept the season from Mars Hill and improved to 8-3 at home this year.
