CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team went into the Levine Center and handed No. 6 Queens a decisive 92-79 victory on Wednesday evening. Queens had won 14 straight and was a perfect 11-0 in league play heading into this contest but the Bears forced 20 turnovers and shot 6-of-10 from long range in the second half to pull out the victory.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Five players scored in double figures for the Bears, led by
Emmanuel Wembi's season-high 16 points. Wembi scored eight of the Bears' first 10 points and went a perfect 7-of-7 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.

Darius Simmons caught fire in the second half and finished with 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Simmons hit back-to-back three's midway through the second half to push LR's lead to double digits.

Jon Jean had 12 points and six assists. The senior PG turned the ball over just one time. As a team, the Bears committed just nine turnovers and converted the Queens giveaways into 23 points.

Bertrand Awana had 10 points but his biggest stat was his blocked shots. The senior center blocked four shots, three in the second half, and altered the Royals shots around the basket.
• Sean Willett led the Royals with a game-high 30 points. Willett went 11-for-21 from the field and hit four 3-pointers.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Second place Lincoln Memorial also suffered a loss tonight, drawing the Bears one game closer on both teams.
• LR had lost six straight to Queens heading into this contest. The Bears handed the Royals their second home loss of the season, with both of them coming by double digits.
• Queens averaged over 88 points per game coming into tonight and only turned the ball over an average of 16 times per game.
