Newberry, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team erased another late deficit and took a 101-100 lead with 3.6 seconds left as 
Mason Hawks buried a floater. However, a late foul on a 3-point shooter sent Newberry to the line and the Wolves converted on all three from the charity stripe to upset LR 103-101.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•   Both the Bears and Wolves shot at a high rate and above fifty percent for the game. LR finished 34-of-60 (56.7 percent) and Newberry hit 38-of-73 (52.1 percent) from the floor.
•  Lenoir-Rhyne had balanced scoring all night with six in double-figures, led by senior guard 
Jon Jean with 19 points to go along with eight assists. 
R.J. Gunn was not far behind with 17 of his own and 
Deontae Weaver flirted with a double-double with 10 points and was just one rebound shy with nine on the night.
•  Marshall Lange not only led the Wolves and all scorers with 21 points, but nailed the three free throws to put the Bears away in the final second of the game. TJ Brown was a close second with 19 points and a team-leading four steals on the night. 
•  The three-point shot kept Lenoir-Rhyne in the game as they made 13 throughout the night, eight in the first half and the Wolves made eight all game. Newberry outrebounded the Bears 39-31 and that was in large part why the points in the paint was won so heavily by the home team, 52-36.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    Tonight's loss ends the three game winning streak for Lenoir-Rhyne, was their third loss within five this season and second by one point.
•    The Bears record on the road falls to 7-3.
