CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The No. 44 Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis Team had no problem with Johnson C. Smith on Saturday morning, coming away with a 6-1 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bears opened the early morning match with a strong showing in doubles action to grab the point. Despite a loss in first doubles, Marta Escanero and Sophia Di Camillo grabbed a 6-2 win in second doubles and the duo of
Diana Babinets and
Spencer Cochran also won 6-2 in the third spot to give LR a 1-0 advantage.
The Bears took wins in all but first singles in individual action to claim the 6-1 win.
Ally Garofoli took a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the second spot, followed by a 6-0, 6-2 win by
Sanne Janssen in the third spot.
Lucy Whelan, Coachran and Di Camillo closed out singles play with victories.

The Bears return to action on Tuesday when they head to Newberry for a 2 p.m. match.
