HICKORY, N.C. – The No. 45 Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis Team had a successful Senior Day, defeating Anderson 6-1 to close out the regular season. The Bears honored their seniors before the match and went on to cruise to win number 17 on the season.

"I was so impressed with the ladies today," said Head Coach
Tom Rees. "We gave an assured performance against a historically strong Anderson team. Our ladies deserve all the credit for such a wonderful regular season and I'm so proud of each and every one of them."
HOW IT HAPPENED
LR didn't have much trouble with the Trojans on Thursday, sweeping all three doubles spots by a final score of 6-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead.
It was more of the same in singles action as the Bears dominated after dropping a decision in the first line. LR would rally to close out the final five singles spots and earn an impressive victory.
Gemma Southwick,
Diana Babinets, Marta Escanero and
Emily Murchland all won in the minimum and
Ally Garofoli outlasted Hannah Weaver 6-2, 6-7, 6-2.
