Hickory, N.C. -- The No. 16 Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team remained unbeaten on the season by beating Queens 4-1 Saturday evening. The Bears, who are off to their best start in program history, haven't had an eight-game winning streak since 2014 when they won the SAC regular-season championship and the tournament championship.

- Aqsa Mushtaq opened up the scoring in the 16th minute off a free kick from 25 yards out.
- Allie Zueger then delivered a pass across the six-yard line to Madi Kyle who tapped in for a goal in the 27th minute to put the Bears up 2-0.
- Abigael McGarel then scored her sixth goal of the season off a penalty kick putting the Bears up 3-0 in the 44th minute.
- Christina Shimshock capped things off in the 70th minute scoring the Bears final goal, ripping a shot from outside the box for her first collegiate goal.
- Bryce Brocovich scored the Royals lone goal of the game in the 75th minute.
- The Bears outshot the Royals 21 (12 SOG) - 5 (1 SOG).
- The Bears also had more corner kicks 8-2.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lenoir-Rhyne came into the week ranked No. 16 in the nation and No. 2 in the region and went 2-0 including a win over No. 20 North Georgia.
- The Bears are outshooting their opponents 190 (100 SOG) - 56 (18 SOG).
- This marked LR's first road match of the season. The Bears first seven games came at home.
