Dugger Shines Under Bright Lights of NFL Combine

HICKORY, N.C. -- Lenoir-Rhyne safety Kyle Dugger proved he belonged with the top prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft with a strong showing at the NFL Combine this weekend. Dugger was the only NCAA Division II Defensive Back to participate and his numbers were among the best at his position. 

On Thursday, Dugger was measured and he finished as the defensive back with the longest arms (32 7/8"), longest wing span (78 1/2") and largest hands (10 3/8") which was the start to a stand out weekend. 
 
On Friday, Dugger spoke with members of the media and conducted interviews with SiriusXM NFL Radio as well as CBS Sports. 
 

Saturday saw Dugger complete a strong 17 reps on the bench press. 
 

Finally, on Sunday Dugger worked out for NFL scouts on the NFL Network. His preformance even had the NFL twitter amazed.
 

Dugger's final numbers at the combine were:
4.49 40 yard dash
11'2" Broad Jump
42" Vertical Leap (best of any defensive back)

According to Next Gen Stats, Kyle Dugger finished with a 99 Athleticism Score, tops at the safety position. He became the first non-FBS safety to do so since 2003.
