HICKORY, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne celebrated Homecoming Weekend with a 45-3 drubbing of Limestone on Saturday afternoon at Moretz Stadium. LR ran out to a 24-0 lead at halftime and never looked back as the Bears have outscored their last two opponents 104-3.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• LR got a short
Chase Allbaugh on their first possession before tacking on three rushing touchdowns to close out the scoring in the first half.

Dwayne McGee punched in runs of three and five yards and
Jadus Davis broke a 25-yarder as the Bears went up 24 at the break.
• McGee topped 100 yards rushing in the first half.
• The Bears' defense dominated the opening 30 minutes, holding Limestone to -8 yards rushing and 78 total yards in the first half.
• Willingham threw for 162 yards in the first half and hit
Deondre Lester three times for 54 yards.
• The first Limestone possession of the second half resulted in an LR defensive touchdown as
Percy King forced a fumble that
Preston Joseph brought back to the house. It was Joseph's second defensive touchdown in this calendar year as he returned a fumble in a spring win over Wingate.
• Willingham hit Lester in the end zone for his 74th career TD throw as LR pushed the advantage to 38-0 before the Saints kicked a field goal with 9:08 in the third quarter.

Caine Crews ended the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown run, his first of the season and LRs fourth rushing TD of the day.
• McGee finished the game with 174 yards on 22 carries and a pair of touchdowns to give him 15 on the season. McGee topped 1,000 yards on the season and has at least 109 yards in all seven of LRs games this year.

Amari Houston had six tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks in the winning effort.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne is 5-1 all-time against Limestone and improve to 2-1 at Moretz Stadium.
• McGee has produced just the 24th 1,000 yard rushing season in Lenoir-Rhyne history. The last back to reach 1,000 yards on the ground was Nelson Brown in 2017.
• The Lenoir-Rhyne defense allowed -12 yards rushing on the day and limited Limestone to 192 yards of total offense and just 3.3 yards per play.
• LR improved to 17-4 when scoring a defensive touchdown since the start of the 2010 season.
• LR is 44-0 when scoring over 40 points since 2010 and 66-21 against the SAC in that time frame.
• The Bears finished with 523 yards and 7.0 yards per play.
• LR didn't punt until the fourth quarter.
