HICKORY, N.C. -- A 5-0 spurt over the final 17 seconds of the game gave Anderson an 80-79 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne, handing the Bears their first loss at home this season. Alex Keel's baseline jumper with five seconds to go was the game-winner for the Trojans who have won back-to-back games in the final moments.

STATS AND INFO:
- For the 10th game this season, Lenoir-Rhyne had less turnovers than their opponent
- Five players scored in double figures for the Bears
- Jalen Hillery had a game-high 23 points for Anderson and went 9-of-10 from the field and 5-of-6 from long range

- Hillery was the story in the first half, connecting on his first six shot attempts en route to a 16-point first half

- After a Crosby James turnover with 17 seconds to go, Lenoir-Rhyne led 79-75 with the ball
- A turnover on the inbounds pass led to a corner three from Hillery to cut the lead to one
- A second turnover on an inbounds pass led to a steal and the game-winning bucket from Keel

ABOUT THE BEARS:
- Darius Simmons led Lenoir-Rhyne with 16 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line
- Lenoir-Rhyne went 25-of-27 from the free throw line, good for 92.6 percent
- LR went just 4-of-20 from long range and 0-for-4 in the final 20 minutes of the game

NOTABLE TROJANS:
- The trio of James, Hillery and Kai Rivers combined for 53 of Anderson's 80 points
- The Trojans shot 51.8 percent in the secnod half and 50 percent from long range
- Anderson had 18 assists and 18 turnovers
- Rivers led the Trojans with seven rebounds, four on the offensive end
