STATS OF THE GAME:
•   The Bears started off the scoring with a blocked punt on Newberry's first drive. Jordan Holmes broke through to block the punt and Alvin James returned it for 20 yards for a touchdown on his first career touch.
•   On the ensuing extra point, senior kicker Chase Allbaugh became the program's all-time leader in career points by a kicker. Allbaugh surpassed Colin Corpe with his 265th career point.
 •  The Bears were held without a first down until freshman RB Dwayne McGee started moving the chains on his own. Three long runs got the LR offense moving.
•   Each team had seven first downs in the first half but Newberry dominated time of possession, holding the ball for 19:58.

Percy King scored the second non-offensive touchdown of the contest as he returned an interception 10 yards to put LR up 17-14. However, the Wolves evened the game at 17 with just over one minute left.
•
Lenoir-Rhyne had a chance to win the game in regulation but a 42-yard field goal was blocked as time expired.
•
In the first OT, the Bears held Newberry to a short field goal but didn't convert a first down on offense and Allbaugh calmly sank a 33-yarder to send the game to a second OT.
•
The second OT was just two plays before White hit Parsons for the game-winner.
•
Defensively, LR held Newberry to three straight incompletions before intercepting a Hail Mary on the final play of the game.
