Women's Soccer Opens SAC Tournament with 1-0 win Over Carson-Newman

Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer team was able to open up the SAC Quarterfinal with a 1-0 win over Carson-Newman Monday afternoon.

  • Ria Acton scored a curler from 20 yards out in the 19' to give LR 1-0 lead.
  • Carson-Newman led LR 7-4 in shots in the first half.
  • LR earned more corners than Carson-Newman 5-1.
  • The Eagles outshot the Bears 14-11 in the match.
  • Grayson Cameron collected seven saves on the match.
