ANDERSON, S.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team dropped a 9-point decision at Anderson on Saturday in South Atlantic Conference action. Each team moves to 1-2 in league play following the game that saw four LR players score in double figures.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- The Bears shot exactly 38.46 percent from the field in each of the first and second halves. Anderson went 13-for-29 in the first half to open a 34-27 lead at the break.
- LR cut the lead to six but saw Anderson extend it to as many as 16 in the second half.
- The Bears were cold from long range, shooting just 24.2 percent (8-for-33) from the 3-point line. Anderson was also frigid from three, hitting just four of 21 attempts.
- Anderson's Myles Jenkins had 19 points and 10 boards and Jacksen Greco came off the bench for 18 points.

Nas Tyson posted a double-double of his own with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Jalen Johnson led LR with 19 points and
TJ Nesmith was the most efficient Bear with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
- Anderson held a slim 40-38 advantage o n the boards and the teams combined for just 14 turnovers in the game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Anderson broke a 6-game losing streak with the win today.
- LR has lost four straight to Anderson and are just 2-8 in their last 10 games against the Trojans.
- LR has lost five straight overall at the Abney Center with the last road win over Anderson coming on January 8, 2017.
- This was the first road game after LR's four-game home stand and just the third road game of the season.
