HARROGATE, TENN. – Competing in the SAC Tournament as the No. 8 seed for the first time in program history, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team saw its 2021-22 season come to a close with a loss to top-seeded and No. 7 nationally-ranked Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Jalen Johnson led the Bears with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting and added five assists and three rebounds
- T.J. Nesmith was the only other LR player in double figures, finishing with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting
- LR was held to a season-low 21 total rebounds and just two offensive boards
- The Bears did manage to hit 8 second-half 3-pointers and shot 45.5 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes
- Lincoln Memorial grabbed 40 rebounds in the game and Jordan Guest had a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds
- Matthew Sells had 18 points and went 7-of-9 from the field and 4-for-6 from long range
- Four other players scored in double-figures, giving LMU six players with at least 10 points
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- LR drops to 26-24 all-time in South Atlantic Conference Tournament games
- This is the first SAC Tournament loss to Lincoln Memorial in three games
- LR beat LMU in 2007 and 2008 but haven't met in the conference tournament since
- LR has never won a SAC Tournament game as a six seed or worse
