Elin Hansson scored twice in less then a six minutes span to extend the Bears lead to 3-0 before
Vivien Becker Peralta ended the scoring for the Bears as LR scored four times in the first half. The Wasps scored two second half goals as the Bears defeated Emory & Henry 4-2 on Wednesday night in Emory, Va.
Ria Acton notched her 9th assist of the season,which leads all of Division II. The Bears will now head to Carson-Newman to conclude their three game road stretch.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- After a scoreless first nine minutes, The Bears scored four times in a 10 minutes and 14 second span as Duston started the scoring with her second goal of the season.
- Hansson then added her 8th and 9th goals of the season in the 13th and 19th minute. The second goal the Bears forced a turnover deep in the Wasps territory as Emerson Talley passed to Hansson, who was one on one for the goal.
- The Bears fourth goal was a thing of beauty as Ria Acton had the ball on the sideline and delivered a perfect cross to Peralta, who tapped it in with her right foot to beat the keeper to her left.
- Wasp's Karlijn Keuters broke the shutout with a goal in the 65th minute. The first goal given up by the Bears in SAC play.
- Kaleea Scales added another goal for the Wasps in the 86th minute.
- Kristin Oliver made three saves in goal for the Bears in her first half of action. Taylor Rose was in goal the second half for the Bears.
- 27 different Bears entered the contest tonight and played meaningful minutes.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Bears have only given up three goals all season entering tonight and did not allow anyone to score more then one goal in a contest until tonight.
- Bears came into the game sixth in the nation with a .30 goals against per game.
- LR did not allow a goal to start conference play for 604 minutes and 28 seconds.
- Acton is the 6th player in program history to record 20 career assists.
- Today was the first ever meeting in Emory as LR won the only other meeting last year 7-0 in Hickory.
