Bears Make Historic Comeback but Fall Late In Elite Eight

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team made a historic comeback after erasing a four-goal deficit to Florida Tech to tie the game at four apiece. However, the comeback bid fell just short as the Panthers scored with just three minutes left in regulation to defeat the Bears, 5-4, and advance to the Final Four.  Ella Garner scored two goals while Nicole Auger and Kara Gavaghan each scored once as the Bears suffered their first defeat of the season to end their 2023 campaign in the National Quarterfinal.
