Gaffney, S.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer team got a first half goal from
Elin Hansson and then
Kara Gavaghan and
Evan O'Leary each scored in a 1:59 minute span to defeat Limestone 3-0 on Sunday afternoon from Gaffney, S.C. The Bears (3-0-3) remain without a loss through their first six games of the season.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Hansson scored a first half goal for the second time this week as she got the Bears on the board in the 23rd minute.
- After going to the halftime break up 1-0, the Bears scored twice in a 119 seconds early in the second half as Gavaghan and O'Leary each scored their second goal of the season.
- Ria Acton and Hansson each picked up an assist on the afternoon.
- Bears held Limestone to just four shots including just one in the second half as LR outshot Limestone 23-4.
- LR also held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks today.
- Kristin Oliver and S.A. Phillips each made a save in goal for the Bears.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- These teams played twice in last season's post season. Limestone knocked the Bears out of the SAC Tournament but the Bears got revenge and knocked the Saints out of the NCAA Tournament with a 1-0 win in the NCAA first round.
- Out of the 19 all-time games these teams have played, only six have been in Gaffney, where the Bears are now 5-1.
- All three goal scorers today, Gavaghan, Hansson and O'Leary scored their 14th career goals.
- Hansson has now scored in three straight games.
