Royce Turner converged on Limestone's Doug Washington, stopping him short of the goal line for a failed two-point conversion attempt, sealing the victory for the Bears.
"This was an unbelievable team win for us today," said head coach
Doug Socha. "Homecoming here is special. We have some of the best fans and alumni in the country and it's great to celebrate them. There is so much tradition that comes with having over 100 years of football and we were happy to get the win."

STORY OF THE GAME:
- Limestone scored on both their drives in the opening quarter, finishing the frame with a 10-0 lead.
- The Bears answered early in the second, as Jalen Ferguson hit Tye Roberson for a 10-yard touchdown pass to make it 10-7.
- The Saints looked like they were going to go up 13-7 on their next drive, but a botched snap on a field goal attempt kept it a three point game.
- Songa Yates burned his defender a few minutes later for Lenoir-Rhyne's second score of the game.
- Limestone hit a field goal as time expired at the half to make it 14-13 in favor of the Bears at the break.
- On the first play of the fourth quarter, Roberson fumbled the ball into the end zone, where Adonis McDaniel fell on it for the score, making it 21-13 Bears.
- The teams saw a combined 10 drives over the next 14 minutes, none of which would end in a score.
- The Saints scored with just 1:13 left in the contest, cutting the game to two.
- Lenoir-Rhyne saw the jet sweep coming and stopped Limestone behind the line of scrimmage, securing the 21-19 victory.
STATS OF THE GAME:
- Jalen Ferguson was 18-for-31 for 217 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
- Tye Roberson had a day, finishing with 11 carries for 37 rushing yards, and four receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.
- DeAree Rogers led the Bears with four catches for 53 yards.
- Sophomore Ben Watson led the Bears with a career high nine tackles.
- Christian Santana notched five tackles, including 2.5 TFL.
