SALISBURY, NC - It's rare to have one pick-six in a game, and much rarer to have two.
Damien Savage and
James Ussery made that a reality on Saturday, as they each notched a fourth quarter pick-six en route to a 33-14 win at Catawba. Down 14-3 in the first quarter, LR closed on a 30-0 run to comfortably win this one.

- LR's defense showed out early, as JT Black forced a fumble on Catawba's first drive of the game.
- The Bears turned that turnover into a 42-yard Jake Brown field goal, going up 3-0 early.
- Catawba scored 14 unanswered points and led 14-3 after the first quarter.
- Jamir Fox scored the first touchdown of his career to make it 14-10 at the half.
- Fox opened the second half with a 21-yard score.
- Brown knocked in another field goal and LR went into the final quarter leading 19-14.
- Damien Savage picked off Catawba QB Mason Fortune and went 30-yards for the score.
- Nic Cheeley stopped what looked to be a strong scoring drive from Catawba with an interception in the end zone.
- For the third possession in a row, the Bears intercepted Fortune, this time with James Ussery going 70-yard for the score.
