Men's Basketball earns their fourth win of the year at Emory & Henry

EMORY, VA - Lenoir-Rhyne took care of business on the road on Saturday, defeating Emory & Henry 97-75 for their second straight victory in the conference. Ziare Wells led the charge with 26 points and four rebounds in the victory. The Bears are one of just four SAC schools with two SAC wins.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
  • Down for much of the first half, the Bears took their first lead with 2:43 remaining in the frame on a free throw by Hantz Louis-Jeune.
  • The Bears led 40-35 at the break thanks to some late free throws from Ziare Wells.
  • Lenoir-Rhyne shot 53.8% from the field in the first half.
  • The Bears scored the first six points of the second half to extend their lead to 11.
  • Leading 57-48, a Conrad Luczynski layup sparked a 14-2 LR run, giving them a 71-50 lead with 9:55 left in the game.
  • Lenoir-Rhyne rolled to the finish, leading by as many as 26 en route to the 97-75 victory.
  • Ziare Wells (26), Hantz Louis-Jeune (18), Conrad Luczynski (15), and Junior Hodnett (10) all finished in double-figures. 
  • Tay Smith and Hodnett combined for four three-pointers and six rebounds.
  • Ziare Wells was perfect 7-7 at the charity stripe.
  • The Bears outscored the Wasps 52-30 in the paint and 16-4 in second chance points.

  • The Bears remain undefeated against the Wasps all-time (4-0).

  • Hantz Louis-Jeune has recorded at least four rebounds in every game after securing five rebounds tonight.
