GAFFNEY, SC - Behind the superb shooting of Julian Dozier the Bears took down Limestone 89-75 on the road on Saturday. Dozier scored an LR career-high 24 points on 8-10 shooting from the field and an impressive 6-6 from three.

The Bears hit 10 threes in the win, tied for their second most all season.

STORY OF THE GAME

• The Bears jumped out to an early 8-0 lead thanks to two threes from Julian Dozier and a bucket from Hantz Louis-Jeune.
• A 17-4 run from LR put the visitors in control early as they led 25-8 with 9:18 left in the opening half.
• Lenoir-Rhyne held a double-digit lead for the rest of the half and went into the break leading 45-31.
• Limestone cut the lead to 10, but a layup from Dozier and dunk from Sam Martin extended LR's lead back to 16.
• Conrad Luczynski scored 13 points in a 10-minute span to keep the Saints at bay.

STATS OF THE MATCH:

• Julian Dozier led the way with 24 points, followed by Conrad Luczynski (16), Ziare Wells (12), Tay Smith (12), and Hantz Louis-Jeune (11). 
• The Bears shot 34-62 (54.8%) from the field and 10-23 (43.5%) from three.
• Limestone was 28-65 (43.1%) from the field and 8-34 (23.5%) from behind the arc. 
• Both teams hit 11 free throws in the contest.
