HICKORY, NC - SAC Newcomer of the Year and SAC Tournament MVP
Ziare Wells has now added D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second-Team to his resume.
The junior from Queens, New York, helped lead the Bears to a 26-5 record, the SAC Tournament Championship, and a birth in the NCAA Tournament. A bucket getter, Wells leads the team with 17.4 points per game and ranks 32nd in the country with 32 total field goals made. An efficient scorer, Wells shoots the ball at a 54.5% clip from the field and 41.3% from three, the latter of which leads the team. He is much more than a scorer, averaging 5.8 rebounds per game, and tallying 62 total assists and 45 total steals on the year.
