HICKORY, NC - Head Coach Doug Socha and the Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team have officially announced their 2025 schedule. In his first year at the helm, Socha led the Bears to a 10-3 record and an NCAA Second Round appearance. 

The Bears will play five games Between The Bricks this season, with the home opening September 13th matchup vs. Emory & Henry and the September 27th game vs. Newberry taking place under the lights at 6:00 p.m.

LR will open their season on the road with a key matchup at perennial power West Florida on Friday, August 29th, at 6:00 p.m. The Argonauts and Bears have played once before, a 43-38 win by UWF in the national quarterfinals in 2019. West Florida would proceed to win their next two games and take home their first national championship. 

The road slate this season consists of two playoff teams from last season (Carson-Newman and Wingate). The six teams the Bears head on the road to face had a combined record of 39-24 during the 2024 campaign.
