Men's Basketball Falls to NC State in Exhibition Game

RALEIGH, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne made the weekend trip to the state capitol to face North Carolina State on Saturday. In this exhibition, the Pack attack proved too much for the Bears, pushing NC State to a dominant 130-66 win.

NC State, picked 8th in the ACC Preseason Poll, broke loose early after conceding the first points of the game to Lenoir-Rhyne. By first half's end, the Wolfpack shot at a 21-of-28 (75%) clip from the field, 7-of-13 (53.8%) from three-point range, and 20-of-22 (90.9%) at the line.

In the second half, the Bears began to clean up on the glass, with 13 offensive rebounds compared to six in the first frame. However, the Wolfpack offense refused to slow down en route to victory.

Despite the negative result, the friendly proved to be a positive moment for the Bears to regroup and tune-up before November 9th's home and season opener vs. Young Harris.
