HICKORY, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne men's basketball team took down Tusculum 90-77 on senior night.
Prior to tip-off Lenoir-Rhyne honored seniors
Keyishon Miller,
Akili Evans,
Blessin Kimble,
Tyler Burraston,
Julian Dozier, and
Junior Hodnett.
Burraston was fantastic in this one, going 7-11 from three en route to a 24-point performance. Joining him with 24 points was
Conrad Luczynski, who went 12-14 from the field.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- The Bears were in a battle early, going down 23-21 midway through the opening half.
- With 2:21 remaining in the half a Tyler Burraston fast break layup put the Bears ahead by six, their largest lead of the game.
- Two buckets from Tusculum cut the lead to two but Julian Dozier snaked through the lane for the final bucket of the half with just nine second remaining.
- Down 51-48, a Conrad Luczynski layup sparked a 15-0 run that was capped off by a Junior Hodnett three.
- Three threes in the next three minutes from Burraston helped Lenoir-Rhyne extend their lead to 75-59 with 7:15 left in the game.
- Despite the chippiness of the game (five technicals) the Bears kept their head on straight and won by 13.
STATS OF THE GAME:
- Joining Burraston and Luczynski in double figures was Akili Evans (11) and Junior Hodnett (10).
- Evans was just two assists away from a triple double (11p, 10r, 8a).
- Julian Dozier joined Evans on top of the assists list with eight dimes.
- The Bears shot 33-61 (54.1%) from the field an 10-24 (41.7%) from three.
- Tusculum was 26-60 (43.3%) from the field and 10-27 (37%) from three.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lenoir-Rhyne leads the all-time series 19-6 and have won the last four.
- Conrad Luczynski has 51 points in two games against Tusculum this season.
- Tyler Burraston's seven threes ties a season high and gives him 91 on the year.
- The Bears joined Anderson, Casron-Newman, Catawba, Lincoln Memorial, and UVA Wise in the first alphabetical NCAA Regional Rankings.
- Lenoir-Rhyne sits two games back of Anderson in the SAC standings.
UP NEXT: Lenoir-Rhyne will close the regular season with a difficult road trip next week. On Wednesday they travel to Anderson to take on the top-ten ranked Trojans and on Saturday they will head to Tennessee to face off against a red hot Carson-Newman squad who has won four straight and seven of their last eight. Tip-off for Wednesday's contest is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
