Hickory, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University will add four members to its Sports Hall Of Fame as Marguerite “Meg” Broadwell, Roman Davis, Craig Keith and Craig Sizemore make up the Class of 2016.

The Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will be part of Lenoir-Rhyne’s Homecoming Weekend and will take place in the P.E. Monroe Auditorium on LR’s campus at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 8, 2016.

The four will also be honored at halftime of Lenoir-Rhyne’s Football Game with UNC Pembroke, which begins at 2:00 p.m., at Moretz Stadium.

Broadwell (Lenoir-Rhyne, 1984) played four years on the Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Basketball Team from the 1980-81 season through the 1983-84 season. Broadwell totaled 1,023 career points – 17th-best all-time – and led Lenoir-Rhyne to the 1980-81 and 1981-82 NCAIAW State Championships and a berth in the 1981 AIAW National Final Four in Dayton, Ohio. The 1980-81 squad, Region II Champions with a record of 27-8, is considered one of the best in school history.

Broadwell is also ranked fifth in rebounds (713), seventh in field goal percentage (51.0), and third in blocks (129) on the school’s all-time lists as well. As a senior and co-captain in 1983-84, Broadwell led the team in scoring (17.1 ppg) and rebounding (9.7 rpg) and was named the Team Most Valuable Player. Broadwell was also a member of the Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Tennis Team for two years and graduated Cum Laude.

Broadwell received her MBA from Wake Forest University in 1986 and has lived in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area ever since. Broadwell, a current resident of Alexandria, Va., has enjoyed a distinguished career in NASA since 1990 and has served in various capacities at its headquarters in the District of Columbia.

Davis (Lenoir-Rhyne, 2005) also played four years on the Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Basketball Team (2001-05) and became the first-ever South Atlantic Conference two-time Player Of The Year (2003-04 and 2004-05). Davis, a three-time All-SAC First-Team honoree, was the 2001-02 SAC Freshman Of The Year and led the Bears to two conference regular season championships and two berths in the NCAA Division II Playoffs (2002-03 and 2003-04) and the 2003 Food Lion SAC Tournament Title.

Davis ranks seventh all-time in program history in both points scored (1,619) and field goal percentage (55 percent) and his 147 career blocks rank No. 4 all-time as well. Davis was inducted into the South Atlantic Conference Hall Of Fame this past June.

Davis has also played overseas in Montenegro in FIBA for Team Kosarkaski. Davis was named the 2008 Imola Summer League Player of the Year as a member of Indesti Fabriano in Italy. Davis has also played in Mexico and toured with the Harlem Globetrotters for five years. In the offseason, Davis works for Novant Health in the organization’s insurance sector.

Currently, Keith owns Bull City Carwash in Durham, N.C., and has plans to expand the business in the near future.

Sizemore (Lenoir-Rhyne, 2002) was a member of the Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (1999-02) and is still considered one of the best offensive players in school history. Sizemore also finished his career with a .373 batting average, 32 home runs and 186 runs batted in while his 46-game hitting streak over two seasons (2001 and 2002) was a NCAA Division II record at the time.
