Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics is excited for another season at Moretz Stadium. We strive to make LR Athletic events the best gameday environment in Division II.
Public parking is available in the Moretz Stadium Lot for $10 per parking space. Cash or card will be accepted as payment for parking in the stadium lot. Fans are able to park for free at the McCrorie Family Stadium softball parking lot, Durham Field baseball parking lot, UCHS commuter parking lot and any other free parking facility on campus.

Football Fan Guide
Regulations regarding ticketing, parking, tailgating, alcohol, merchandising, and promotions at Moretz Stadium for Lenoir-Rhyne University home football games are designed to be the most practical and functional for the capacity crowds that have become the trademark of Bears Football to ensure a safe and enjoyable gameday experience for all.
TICKETS
*No refunds or exchanges.
SEATING CHART
ADVANCED TICKET SALES - Fans can purchase tickets online at
lrbears.com/tickets. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission, $10 for children ages 12 and younger. Children 4 and younger get in free.
GAME DAY PURCHASES – Ticket offices are located at both entrances. Any available tickets can be purchased beginning 2.5 hours prior to kickoff, or anytime online at lrbears.com/tickets.
- East Side Entrance accepts cash and credit card payments
- West Side Entrance accepts credit card payments only
WILL CALL AND PASS LIST TICKETS - May be picked up beginning 2.5 hours prior to kickoff at the east ticket booth. ID is required.
LR STUDENTS - Your ID is your ticket. Valid for general student section seating.
GATES - Open two hours prior to kickoff. Moretz Stadium has a
re-entry policy, if a fan chooses to leave the stadium after scanning, they will need to receive a stamp before leaving.
PERMITTED/PROHIBITED ITEMS
Effective for the 2025 football season, only clear bags will be permitted inside Moretz Stadium.

- Strollers (must not take up an additional seat)

- Medically necessary items
- Diaper bags, fanny packs or clear bags smaller than 12"x6"x12" are subject to search
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Bags larger than 5x7" including backpacks, duffle bags, camera bags or drawstring bags
- Umbrellas
- Outside food or beverages
- Pets (excludes ADA service animals)
- Artificial noisemakers
- Promotional items unless distributed by LR Athletics or approved partners
- Weapons
- Illegal drugs including medical marijuana / Alcohol
FAN/PATRON CONDUCT
The NCAA, the SAC and LR support good sportsmanship and will not tolerate abusive actions, language, or gestures from fans, players, coaches or officials. Extreme or continued acts of unsportsmanlike behavior are grounds for dismissal from the site of competition. Inappropriate language or actions directed towards LR Athletics personnel, ushers, or public safety officers will not be tolerated and may be grounds for immediate removal from Moretz Stadium and/or LRU Property.
The following behavior is prohibited:
- Behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature
- Verbal or physical harassment of opposing team fans including the use of names, numbers or personal information
- Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption or other substance use
- Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
- Throwing objects of any kind
- Sitting in a location other than your ticketed seat
- Obscene or indecent clothing
- Any disruption to the progress of the event
- Failing to follow instruction of stadium personnel
- Offensive language or obscene gestures concerning a person's race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, creed, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or national origin; or to instigate, incite or encourage a confrontation or physical assault.
- Any behavior which otherwise interferes with other fans' enjoyment of the game
PARKING & TAILGATING
- All tailgating rules apply to all parking lots and designated tailgating areas on campus.
- Stadium Tailgate Lot opens 5 hours prior to kickoff
- All state and local laws must be observed.
- Tailgating is for one parking space only.
- Tents and canopies in the Stadium Lot should not exceed 10'x10' and must be secured. They must not obstruct sidewalks, drive lanes or walkways per fire code.
- Persons acting in a disruptive, disrespectful or disorderly manner may be asked to leave the premises and/or be subject to a citation from the University, City or County Law Enforcement. Students will be subject to the Lenoir-Rhyne University Student Code of Conduct.
- Trash must be placed in the appropriate trash receptacles.
- Grills should be attended to at all times. Fires on the ground and fire pits are strictly prohibited. Fire extinguishers are recommended.
- Pets should be leashed at all times and are not permitted inside Moretz Stadium.
- Electronically amplified sound system or musical instrument that produces a sound that is clearly audible at fifty feet within a designated tailgate parking lot are prohibited.
- Kegs are prohibited and glass bottles are strongly discouraged.
- Lenoir-Rhyne is a tobacco-free campus. No smoking is allowed.
- Do not move or remove any traffic control barricades or devices.
- Lenoir-Rhyne University is not responsible or liable for accidents, damage, loss or theft of materials/items/personal property.
GOLD LOT PARKING AREA ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The Gold Lot is a reserved tailgate area. Passes are available only through a Bears Club membership.
- The Gold Lot opens 5 hours prior to kickoff with the exception of Homecoming, when the lot opens 6 hours prior to game time.
- The inside of the practice field is open for play. Please do so at your own risk.
- Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Tailgaters will be held responsible for damage to LR property.

TRAILERS & RVs
Trailers and RVs are permitted with prior approval in the baseball parking lot. To reserve a spot for an RV please contact Eli Stone by email at
eli.stone2@lr.edu by Wednesday of a home game week.
PROHIBITED - Overnight parking is prohibited in any LRU parking lot or grounds. Cargo trucks, flat bed trailers, any type of trailer, fifth wheel campers, limousines, food vending trucks, boats, boat trailers and U-hauls are prohibited and will be asked to leave the parking areas. Off-road vehicles such as All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV's), Segways, and unauthorized golf carts are also prohibited. Vehicles must fit in a designated parking space. Motor homes are allowed in select lots with prior approval from LRU Security. LRU reserves the right to remove any unauthorized vehicle from the premises. Contact LRU Security at 828-328-7146.
TAILGATING
ALCOHOL - Is strongly discouraged in any tailgate area between the opening kickoff and the end of the game. The following rules apply to alcohol consumption in the tailgate areas during acceptable pre- and post-game hours:
- No alcohol outside the tailgate area. Carrying of alcoholic containers or packages on campus grounds, unless in a cooler or sealed packaging, will result in a citation for open alcohol, and consumption of alcohol on campus grounds.
* Fortified wine and spirituous liquor are prohibited while on public property, or private property that is open to the public per North Carolina General Statute 18b-301 (f) (4) If is unlawful to Possession and consumption of fortified wine and spirituous liquor unless the establishment has a permit authorizing consumption on the premises.
It is unlawful to possess, purchase, sell to, or give to anyone under the age of 21 per North Carolina General Statute 18B-302.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES INSIDE MORETZ STADIUM
SMOKING - Including the possession and use of e-cigarettes, is prohibited inside Moretz Stadium.
VIDEO BOARD AND PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS - Special videos or messages will not be made except for emergencies.
MARKETING / PROMOTIONS / SOLICITATION
LRU has a no solicitation policy and reserves all marketing and promotions rights at its' events, including:
- Promotional vehicles and signs.
- Media rights (video, streaming, social, and audio).
- Any signage or promotional activities placed or conducted within or around the stadium/arena/fields or parking areas used for athletic events on game day, without the express written consent of LRU Athletics are prohibited and are grounds for immediate removal at the owner's or group's expense.
- Promotion of any business, venue, enterprise, product, service, organization not authorized by LRU Athletics.
- In compliance with the LRU Grounds and Facility Use Policy, no solicitation is allowed during tailgating on game day (pre-game, during game, or post-game). The offering or handing out of any item or flyer is not permitted without written consent of LR Athletics.
- Alcohol advertisements are not allowed any time on LRU property or at any athletic venue. This type of advertising includes banners, flyers, signs, and vehicles unless in conjunction with university alcohol education initiative (approved by LR Athletics).
- Only LR Athletics sponsors/partners may be granted the right to have a presence at its' venues.
UAS/DRONES
LR Athletics and Public Safety prohibits Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/drones over all LRU property including Moretz Stadium and the tailgating areas around the stadium on football game days without prior approval. Those requesting permission to operate a UAS/drone must contact LR Athletics at least three weeks in advance. Approval to operate a UAS/drone must follow the approved for additional information email Eli Stone at

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AND LOST PATRONS - Please notify the nearest police officer or usher.
LOST AND FOUND - Is located at the security booth in the South Endzone.
MERCHANDISE - Official LR Athletics merchandise can be found in the West Side Concourse of Moretz Stadium.
