Rashad Yelding joined the Lenoir-Rhyne Football Coaching Staff in the Fall of 2024.
Yelding previously served as a volunteer assistant from January 2024 to July 2024. He played defensive tackle for the Bears from 2018-2023 and played in three SAC Conference Championships in the 2018, 2019, and 2023 season. Rashad was a two-time CoSida Academic All-American in 2022 and 2023. During his senior season with the Bears, Rashad played and started in all 11 games and finished the season with 31 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks, four quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.
Rashad earned his bachelor's degree in politics and law in 2022 for his undergrad. He also received his master's degree in business administration in 2023 from Lenoir-Rhyne.
Yelding is from Daphne, AL and graduated from Daphne High School. He is the son of Lawrence and Pamela Yelding who are both teachers and his Dad coaches high school football. He also has two brothers Khalil and Amari. Khalil played defensive line at Lenoir-Rhyne and was a 2020 graduate. Amari is currently on the 2024 Bears roster as a quarterback.
