Dr. Stephanie Stadden

Stephanie Stadden joined the faculty at Lenoir-Rhyne University in August of 2007 where she currently serves as Chair of the School of Health, Exercise and Sport Science, Associate Professor and Assistant Athletic Trainer.
 
Stadden is responsible for teaching the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity course and courses within the graduate Athletic Training and Exercise Science programs.
 
Stadden assists staff Athletic Training in overseeing the athletic training services provided to LR student-athletes.
 
Prior to coming to LR, Stadden worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Instructor at the NCAA Division III and NAIA levels, as an Athletic Trainer providing high school outreach services, and as a Physical Therapy Aide in the outpatient physical therapy setting.
 
Stadden holds certifications through the Board of Certification as an Athletic Trainer and through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
 
Stadden is licensed through the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners to practice as an athletic trainer.
 
Stadden is also a certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructor through the American Red Cross and holds memberships to three professional organizations, including the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
 
Stadden received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training and Physical Education before earning her Master's in Physical Education - Psychological Aspects of Sport emphasis, both from Minnesota State University - Mankato. She earned her PhD in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in Sport and Exercise Psychology from UNC-Greensboro.
