Anna Catherine Sasser (known as AC) joined the Lenoir-Rhyne Athletic Training staff in July of 2022. She will work with the football and men's basketball teams at LR.
Sasser is a 2020 graduate of Troy University's Athletic Training program, and then received her Master's Degree in 2022 from the University of West Alabama. While there, she covered Tiger football, women's basketball, cheer and softball. She also served as an instructor for protective technique for injuries, and was selected as the lead athletic trainer for the Alabama vs. Mississippi High School All-Star football game in both 2020 and 2021.Â
Most recently, Sasser was an Athletic Trainer doing PRN work at Stillman College where she provided coverae for men's and women's home basketball games. She was responsible for evaulating acute injuries and reporting to the EMR through the app. She also held roles in the AT offices of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Troy while she was a student.Â
Her professional memberships include: Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers Licensure #2428, BOC Certification, Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association and Alabama Athletic Traniers' Association.Â
