Event: Distance freestyle/Backstroke

Junior (2017-2018): Went personal best times in the 500-yard freestyle (5:12.39), 1000-yard freestyle (10:34.77), and the 100-yard backstroke (59.70).

Sophomore (2016-2017): Went personal best times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.09) and the 1650-yard freestyle (17:53.13).

Freshman (2015-2016): Went personal best times in the 100-yard freestyle (53.21), 500-yard freestyle (5:10.96), 1000-yard freestyle (10:43.78), 200-yard IM (2:08.56), 100-yard backstroke (59.50), and the 200-yard backstroke (2:08.09).

High School: Attended St. Stephens HS. Lettered in swimming.

Personal: Alex is from Conover, North Carolina. Born October 29, 1996, to Francisco and Lilia Herrera.
