Biography

Event: Backstroke/IM

Junior (2017-2018): Went personal best times in the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.59), 50-yard backstroke (25.09) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:56.65).

Sophomore (2016-2017): Went a personal best time in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:35.46).

Freshman (2015-2016): Went personal best times in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:09.37), 400-yard IM (4:15.69), 200-yard backstroke (1:57.39), and the 200-yard IM (2:01.81). Earned Most Improved Swimmer for the season.

Previous School: Attended Montana State University.

High School: Attended Bozeman HS.

Personal: Matthew is from Bozeman, Montana. Born April 12, 1996, to Mike and Joye Josten.
