Brayden Carroll

Brayden Carroll was named Play-by-Play & Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant in the summer of 2026. In this position, he serves as “The Voice of the Bears,” contributing to the department’s live broadcasts and social media coverage of Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics.
 
A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Carroll earned his undergraduate degree from Ball State University, where he majored in Media (Sports Production) with a minor in Sports Administration. At Ball State, he contributed to 36 ESPN+ broadcasts, worked as an on-air talent for more than 60 radio broadcasts, and served as the voice of Ball State Women’s Basketball through Woof Boom Radio. As a member of Sports Link, the nation’s premier sports production collegiate program, he was the director of its Digital Radio program as a senior.
 
Carroll also served as a broadcaster for United Soccer League One’s Fort Wayne Football Club, interning for the club during its transition from USL2 to USL1. His career in sports media extended into work as a sportswriter for the San Diego Padres' high-A affiliate Fort Wayne TinCaps, and as a weekly writer for SummitCitySports.com, a Fort Wayne media outlet dedicated to high school athletics in the Northeast Indiana region. He also freelanced in 2025 as a play-by-play and analyst for Purdue Fort Wayne men’s and women’s soccer.
 
He has earned both regional and statewide recognition as a sports broadcaster, including a Central Great Lakes Chapter Sports Emmy as a sideline reporter on Sports Link's award-winning ESPN+ broadcast. He has been honored with five first-place awards as a broadcaster by the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters. In his high school career, he received the John Drury High School Radio Award for Best Sports Play-by-Play, a national honor.
