Berlitz joined Lenoir-Rhyne following an impressive career in the water at both West Virginia and Michigan.
During his first year with the Bears, Berlitz helped led both teams to fourth place finishes at the conference championships. The men's 200 yard freestyle relay team consisting of Cohen Singletary, Chris Forsey, Chris Gelubs, and Renato Herran, broke the school record by .12 seconds with a time of 1:23.10. In addition to the pool success, eight individuals were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, four men and four women.
A 2024 U.S. Olympic Trails participant, Berlitz holds the West Virginia 200 Yard Freestyle record (1:34.93) and appears 11 times in the West Virginia Swimming record books. He was a part of the school's record breaking 400 Yard and 800 Yard Freestyle Relay teams in 2024 and 2025.
