Eli Stone was named Assistant Director of the Bears Club in January 2026, where he assists in the planning and execution of annual fundraising initiatives, donor engagement efforts, and Bears Club events designed to strengthen alumni and community support for Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics. In this role, Stone helps cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, and supporters, supports strategic event planning, and contributes to efforts that grow membership and advance philanthropic goals.
Prior to joining the Bears Club, Stone served as Lenoir-Rhyne’s Facilities and Game Day Operations Graduate Assistant in Fall 2024 before being promoted to Director of Athletic Operations in January 2025. In those roles, he gained extensive experience in revenue generation through external events, coordinating game-day operations, and collaborating across university departments.
Stone earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Sport Science from Appalachian State University in December 2023. During his time at App State, he was actively involved in the athletics department, serving as a student equipment manager for football, interning with the marketing department, and working as a Strategic Communications Assistant. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Leadership.
