Ellie Campbell enters her second year as an assistant coach in 2027 after a stellar playing career for the Bears.
During her first year as an assistant, Campbell helped lead the Bears to an 11-7 record set a program record with nine South Atlantic Conference victories. The Bears did not lose to an unranked team all year and picked up their fourth ranked win in program history with a 10-9 triumph over #23 Anderson in early April. The Bears then beat that same Anderson squad in the SAC semi-finals to reach their first conference championship game since 2019. As a team the Bears ranked 17th in the country in caused turnovers per game, 21 in assists per game, 26th in points per game, and 29th in scoring defense. A record eight Bears were named to the All-SAC team, including Kirra Olson, who finished her career third in career goals and fourth in career points.
Campbell graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne in 2025 after playing five years for the Bears. After missing nearly her entire freshman year due to injury, Campbell rebounded to finish sixth on Lenoir-Rhyne's all-time goals and draw controls list. She is one of just 16 Bears to reach the career 100 point mark, finishing her time as a Bear with 135 points (121g, 14a). She was a two-time All-SAC selection, being named to the third team in 2023 and first team in 2025.
